WLA-28X is a dual 8″ line array element, designed for touring and installation environments demanding clarity, power and consistency. An evolution of the original WLA-28, this new model refines performance and durability while preserving the system’s acclaimed output and versatility.

It features two custom Wharfedale Pro 8″ LF drivers with 2.0″ voice coils, paired with a newly developed neo HF compression driver that delivers improved definition and control. An upgraded HF protection circuit ensures reliability under heavy use, while the new flat grille design enhances durability and simplifies handling in rental applications.

With switchable bi-amp and passive modes, WLA-28X offers installation flexibility and seamless integration into larger array systems. Constructed from 15 mm / 18 mm birch plywood, it handles 400 W continuous (up to 1600 W peak) for the LF section and 90 W continuous (up to 360 W peak) for the HF section — delivering precision, output and reliability for professional live sound and fixed installations alike.
